First of all, WELCOME to Sew Thank Embroidery and THANK YOU for choosing me and my business to bring your ideas to life. My name is Mikayla "Katie" Carson. I am a 28 year old mother, Registered Nurse, and entrepreneur of Sew Thankful Embroidery and The Urban Sisters Boutique. I have always been a crafter, but truly started my embroidery journey in Fall 2019 shortly after having my first son, Micah. I was so excited to become a mother that I wanted everything for him personalized. I first discovered ETSY during this time and my GOD... they had ton of items I wanted to purchase for my son, but they were way too expensive for me. I let days pass me by before the Lord spoke to me and planted "embroider your son's stuff yourself. You catch on fast, do it." I contacted my sister and asked her if I could have her sewing machine that was also a small embroidery machine. She didn't hesitate once, she told me YES! I then begin to create and make items for my son to wear. I slowly found myself putting less time into embroidery because I wanted to do so much more and the machine I had was just too small. Although I made decent money with my full time job, I just had no room to save up for and purchase a bigger embroidery machine. Fast forward to Winter 2020, I created a proposal and I STUCK TO IT. I presented it to my family and with their help, I RECEIVED my Brother pr670e as an early Birthday and Christmas present. I am just a small town girl who had a dollar (LITERALLY) and a dream. The reason I am here and able to provide a service to you is because I have a family who believes in me. For that, I owe them much recognition to my success. They are a part of my story AND Sew Thankful Embroidery.
